WE BELIEVE NOBODY SHOULD GO HUNGRY
Demand at Alberta food banks has reached historic levels. The soaring cost of living means that families who were teetering on the brink, are now being forced right off it.
We have long worked with our partners, key stakeholders and communities to understand critical issues like these and to expand our support. That’s why we created Fill Our Fleet in 2012 to bolster Alberta’s food banks.
Thanks to the generosity of our members and communities over the first decade of Fill Our Fleet, we’ve collected nearly 300,000 pounds of food. And in 2022, we hit a historic cash milestone:
With each year-long Fill Our Fleet campaign, we rally our nearly one million members in the fight against food insecurity. We accept monetary donations at FillOurFleet.ca, and non-perishable food at our signature events and food drives. AMA funds all campaign costs and all contributions stay in Alberta.
We also give our members the resources to make positive changes in their own backyards. Last year we introduced community mobilization kits, which include a donation box, tip sheet, poster templates and other tools to host a successful food drive. Members can request a kit here.

In November 2022, we made an urgent plea for more donations to Fill Our Fleet in the face of Alberta’s growing food security crisis. The response was overwhelming and we surpassed several annual targets:
