AMA\u2019s promise to protect what matters most includes our young people\u2019s future: the quality of the air they breathe, the safety of the roads they drive and the sustainability of the food they will one day serve their children. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

So we actively work with stakeholder groups across the province to get a better understanding of where we can help. This includes school boards, school board foundations, teachers, children\u2019s mental health organizations and more. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, we negotiated a learning sponsorship with an Edmonton-based non-profit, Free Play for Kids<\/a>, to help marginalized children learn about nutrition and food preparation. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We supported Pumpkins After Dark festivals in Edmonton and Calgary, providing warming tents and high-visibility armbands for kids to wear while trick-or-treating or for other nighttime activities.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The AMA School Safety Patrol program<\/a>, which trains Grades 5 and 6 students to guide pedestrians at school crosswalks, helps instil a community mindset. The young crossing guards also serve as a visual reminder for drivers to reduce their speed in school and playground zones.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Kids Go Free<\/a> program ensures we are there for members\u2019 children, even when they\u2019re not with their parents. Whether they\u2019re travelling with a coach, babysitter or friends, they can still access all our essential roadside services. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We continue to be Alberta\u2019s most trusted driving school for older children. We\u2019ve been teaching Albertans how to drive with safety and confidence for more than 80 years.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
